Did you know you can changes lives simply through encouraging the love of books and shared reading. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. Reading should not be a luxury, but sadly it still is for many around the world, this is not acceptable!

Thanks to our wonderful partners, Book Aid International, our libraries are filling up with educational books. This is brilliant, but our pupils are growing up, getting better at reading and quickly making their way through our small collection of fiction books. The children have such a thirst for reading and we are determined to harness that passion. This is why we would like to offer our pupils the opportunity to travel through Narnia, catch dreams with the BFG, and escape to Where the Wild Things Are. Firing imaginations and unlocking a world of fantasy, colour and possibility.

Sometimes it really is the simplest things that can transform lives.
