Educating children living in poverty in rural Ghana

We have built a primary and secondary school in Ayensuako in Ghana where we are now teaching 252 children who would otherwise not be in education. As well as the classrooms, the secondary schools houses a library, sewing school and a kitchen. Most of the children that attend our schools only get to eat one meal a day, so we provide lunches to ensure that they are fit and ready to learn. We have also provided bikes for the children that travel to our school from the local orphanage. Making their long journey walk along pitted roads in blistering heat for torrential rain a little bit easier.

Supporting foster families in Romania

We support foster families in Romania who are caring for children and young adults that we removed from the orphanages. These families have generously opened their hearts and homes to these children and we are here to help them to care for them in the best way that they can.

Showing some humanity

When funding allows we work alongside other grassroots charities to get aid and medical assistance to refugees and displaced people fleeing natural disasters or war. We have worked in Ukraine, Bangladesh and Greece to offer life saving aid and medical assistance to children and their families.

All donations made to Humanitas go into our general fund and are allocated to our projects on a needs basis.
